Compare under one scoring system

A bonus rewards catches, while a second required tight end changes positional demand. Those are different mechanisms. In the matrix below, keep Bowers at five catches and McBride at six for one hypothetical week. These inputs are teaching assumptions, not forecasts. The points column measures only the reception-scoring difference from half PPR. It does not include yardage or touchdowns and is not a full weekly projection.

Why the index can stay unchanged

Switching only the reception bonus does not change the editorial index in engine 3. There is no validated conversion from your assumed weekly catches into that index, so the calculator does not invent one. The independent points layer still changes. Two required starters apply the disclosed TE scarcity rule; it describes a generic model assumption, not the waiver supply in your league. For an actual offer, name the player who would occupy each starting slot after the trade.

Current availability needs a different source

The Raiders Bowers profile and Cardinals McBride profile were checked October 16 for player identity and team context. A roster profile is not final game clearance. This comparison makes no current injury or return-date claim; consult the relevant dated team injury report before accepting a time-sensitive offer. The old September report must not be treated as this week’s status.

What would change your decision?

Try a less favorable catch scenario for the player you would receive, then identify the replacement you lose access to. If one small change flips the points argument, negotiate a price that does not depend on the optimistic case. In a one-TE league, the alternative may be adequate even if both named players are excellent. With two mandatory starters, replacing either player may be substantially harder. No single generic multiplier can verify your actual replacement.
